B.S., Chemistry, University of Pittsburgh
I was born in New Jersey and spent the first eighteen years of my life there until attending the University of Pittsburgh for my undergraduate education. I studied chemistry there with a focus in materials synthesis and characterization. My undergraduate research under Professor Ted Cohen involved ortho-lithiation of pyrrolidines and applications of zinc-ene cyclizations to the synthesis of pyrrolizidine and indolizidine skeletons. In 2013 I graduated with highest honors with a B.S. in Chemistry. I joined the Denmark group in Fall 2013 as a Ph.D. student. In my free time I enjoy listening to music and reading.
