Biography
I was born and raised in the scenic countryside of Northern Italy, where I spent most of my life. I studied chemistry as an undergraduate at the University of Turin, while carrying out musical studies at the same time. In the end, I decided that chemistry would be my future, so I enrolled in the M.Sc. organic chemistry program at the University of Milan, where I received my Master’s degree in October 2010. My thesis research was conducted under the guidance of Professor C. Gennari and involved the total synthesis of isomers of Dictyostatin, a potent anticancer agent. I am currently pursuing my PhD here at UIUC.
