Biography
I am originally from Perrysburg, Ohio (a town outside of Toledo, Ohio). I am currently a Junior in the Specialized Chemistry Curriculum here at the University of Illinois. As I began taking my organic chemistry classes my sophomore year, I quickly found my passion within chemistry. I became fascinated with organic chemistry's possibilities and applications, and I was very happy to have the opportunity to join the Denmark group to pursue undergraduate research. My current work involves the development of ligands and catalysts for multiple uses within the Denmark Group.
Aside from chemistry, academically I am also interested in biochemistry and biology. In my spare time I enjoy playing sports and watching my favorite teams, watching my favorite TV shows, fishing, and playing my guitars.
