Ph.D., Bristol University, 2009
Hailing from the small seaside resort of Bridlington in the UK, I am carrying out my second postdoctoral research appointment. I received a masters degree in chemistry (MChem) from the University of Hull, UK, in 2005 and subsequently joined the group of Prof. Aggarwal at the University of Bristol. I obtained my Ph.D. in 2010 working on the multiple homologations of boronic esters and the application of this methodology in synthesis. From January 2010 until June 2011, I was a postdoctoral scholar in the group of Prof. Alois Fürstner at the Max-Planck-Institut, Mülheim, Germany working on both organochromium chemistry and natural product synthesis. In my spare time I enjoy music, film and literature.
