B.S., Chemistry, Truman State University
I am originally from St. Charles, Missouri and I received my B.S. in chemistry from Truman State University. My undergraduate research under the direction of Dr. Dawood Afzal was focused on the synthesis of new molecular capsules and macrocycles. I joined the Denmark group at Illinois in the fall of 2013, and my current research interest is the application of asymmetric phase transfer catalysis to the anionic oxy-Cope rearrangement. In my spare time, I enjoy playing the piano and watching Seinfeld.
