(09/16) Our work on the creation of AgPt compositional intermetallics from two “immiscible” metals appeared in Nano Letters.

(09/16) Kai-Chieh's work on the continuous production of carbon-supported Pt3Ni octohedral and Pt cubic catalysts using a novel conveyor transport system was published in Small. The paper was featured as the Frontpiece Article. Congrats!

(08/16) Congratulations to Thao Ngo for receiving an Office of Science Graduate Student Research (SCGSR) Award from U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)! Thao will work on using in situ X-ray and TEM techniques to study the structural dynamics of catalysts for fuel cell and other applications.

(05/16) Yung-Tin (Frank) Pan just won a Dissertation Completion Fellowship. Congrats!

(05/16) The group held a successful mini research symposium for our five undergraduate students (Mr. Taro Bourne, Miss Xuxia Chen, Miss Lingqing Yan, Miss Yini Zhao, and Miss Wenjun Zhu). We thanked them for their contributions to our research. Lingling will graduate this month and attend Graduate School at UT Austin and Xuxia will go to UC Berkeley in the fall.

(04/16) Congratulations to our undergraduate award recipients, Miss Xuxia Chen and Miss Lingqing Yan! Xuxia is the recipient of ExxonMobil Scholarship and Lingqing receives the R. J. Van Mynen Scholarship.

(02/16) Our work on in situ environmental TEM study on the effect of thermal treatment on the structure and ORR acitivty of PtNi catalysts appeared in AIChE Journal.

(01/16) Our work on self-heating nanoparticle synthesis is featured on the cover of ChemNanoMat in its first issue in 2016. This work was also highlighted in ChemistryViews Magazine.

(12/15) Our perspective article on in situ liquid TEM for quantitative study of the formation of nanostructures is featured in the Editorial of Journal of Physcial Chemistry Letters.
