Course Description
Chemistry 542, the second course in the 540-542 sequence, is a graduate
level course covering a number of topics in advanced physical chemistry:
Density matrices, time dependent quantum mechanics, classical electrodynamics, the Bloch equations
, multipole expansion, second quantization, linear/nonlinear spectroscopies, laserlight, correlation functions.
The selection of topics varies depending on what was already covered in Chem 540.
