The official required textbook is Atkins' and Jones' "Chemical Principles", FIFTH edition.
If you have the 5th edition, do the homework assigned in the Lecture Schedule for the 5th edition
If you have the 4th edition (used), let Gruebele know in class and he may post a concordance on the web. (The actual problems are the SAME in both editions, they just changed the numbers and order of problems in the new edition!)
The required lecture notes are the 202 Fall 2010 notes, available as a PDF download on this website. They summarize the material that Dr. Gruebele will emphasize on exams.
Here you will find a WebText PDF chapter on quantum mechanics, as we cover the subject in more detail than the textbook.
