Welcome to the Rienstra Group in the Department of Chemistry located at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Our research focuses on developing methodologies and innovating technologies in solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (SSNMR) to interrogate the structures of membrane proteins and fibrillar proteins. Our specific goal is to elucidate the physical and structural bases of protein-lipid and protein-protein interactions that drive the assembly of macromolecular complexes.

5/24/17 - Corinne Price, Gopika Gopan, and Qianqiao Liu join the lab! We are so excited to welcome three new graduate students to our lab!

09/01/17 - Evgeny Nimerovsky joins the lab! We are excited to welcome our new research scientist, Evgeny, to our lab!

5/24/17 - Congratulations to Alex Greenwood on your new position as NMR Specialist at William and Mary!

5/22/17 - Chris Dennis and Shankari Sureshbabu join the lab! We are excited to welcome the two undergrads to the lab!
