Complex Subjects

This section is devoted to some very complex subjects where case analysis is not always possible. These subjects come up often in the science and engineering industry, and test the limits of ethical thought. Some instances of this include resource allocation and risk management. As proposed earlier, the goal of any ethical decision is to maximize the "goodness" of an action while reducing the "badness" of an action. In practice, however, a difference of view often occurs between those who have had technical training and those who have not. Often, these differences can be resolved by clearly explaining the situation and the proposed solution.
