Brief Biography

Sheila Franklin was an undergraduate student majoring in Physics with minors in Chemistry and in Secondary Education at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin. In Summer 2017, she performed undergraduate research as a Chemical Biology Scholar in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign under the supervision of Prof. Scott K. Silverman.

Research Interests

In my research project, I sought to identify deoxyribozymes with modified DNA nucleotides for peptide hydrolysis.
