Brief Biography

Adrienne Wong received her B.S. degree in chemistry from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2006. Starting in Fall 2006, she was a graduate student in chemistry at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, working under the supervision of Prof. Scott K. Silverman on the in vitro selection of deoxyribozymes. She earned her Ph.D. degree in November 2011. She then moved to Boston, MA to begin a postdoc with Michael Goldberg at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Research Interests

My research in the Silverman lab used in vitro selection to identify novel deoxyribozymes that catalyze reactions of tyrosine and serine side chains in peptides. Our overall goal was to develop deoxyribozymes for practical modification of specific side chains of peptide and protein substrates.
